We finally opened the box.

There’s just over a week left until Nintendo launches its latest console, the Switch, on March 3. We showed off the box on Monday – look, Nintendo has weird rules, OK? – but now we’re able to actually open it up and show you what’s inside.

What is inside?

You get the Switch console itself (which is actually the hardware’s tablet form), the Switch dock that beams a video signal to your TV, a pair of Joy-Con controllers, a few Joy-Con accessories and all the requisite cables you need to get started.

Provided you have easy access to both a wall outlet and an HDMI port on your TV, total setup time – from unboxing to powering on – is roughly 5 minutes. The instructions printed right on the Switch box lay it out as a two-step process. Read more…

Forgiveness is a cherished virtue.

It’s also something that Pam Beesly, former receptionist at Dunder Mifflin from our favorite show The Office, experienced today when restaurant chain Chili’s officially forgave her for her uncouth behavior 11 years ago.

It all started when Jenna Fischer, the actress who played Pam, tweeted out this photo.

Should I try to go in? pic.twitter.com/HDpPqzA0by

– Jenna Fischer (@jennafischer) February 6, 2017

Fischer is alluding to a scene from Season 2 of The Office, when Pam becomes so drunk at Chili’s that she falls out of a chair and is subsequently kicked out of the restaurant. Not only that, but the owner of the restaurant proclaims, “She is not welcome at this restaurant chain ever again.” Read more…

During the past few years, Obamacare has been one of the most controversial and talked about policies in the United States.

Since its inception, Obamacare has faced its fair share of opposition, and with Donald Trump coming into office, those flames have again been fanned. Jimmy Kimmel was curious about how the public really felt about Obamacare. Specifically, he asked people if they preferred Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act.

Of course, those two are the same thing. But from the responses he got, many people don’t know that they are the same thing. Someone actually thought Obamacare was when “Obama pays for you.” Read more…

Conservative politician George Christensen has been a bad, bad boy on Twitter.

Australian parliament was interrupted Wednesday by an estimated 30 protesters, there to demand an end to what they see as the inhumane treatment of refugees.

But rather than hear them out, politicians either walked straight out, turned their backs or, in some cases, implied the need for corporeal punishment.

Protestors from Whistleblowers, Activists and Citizens Alliance (WACA) linked arms and reportedly even superglued their hands to part of the building in defence of refugees stuck in mandatory detention centres offshore. Read more…

Apple’s new MacBook Pro has introduced us to the interface power and emoji glory of the Touch Bar, but the addition of fingerprint authentication promises to change more than just the laptop’s looks.

By adding fingerprint authentication, the MacBook finally catches up to the iPhone and iPad in the realm of security, while giving users the ability to enhance the privacy around their laptop with a simple gesture.

“I think it’s practical,” Chris Pinion, manager of fraud Solutions at LexisNexis, told Mashable. “Biometrics have become so mainstream with consumers using fingerprint and facial biometrics on their phones and tablets to unlock devices, open apps or make purchases, that adding them to laptops would seem to be a natural fit.” Read more…
